Vegetable Names in Tulu – Historically, Tulu Nadu was primarily dependent on agriculture and fishing. The main crops grown were rice, Bengal gram, horse gram, vegetables and fruits. But it is foolhardy to dismiss Mangalorean food as simply South Indian because of its unique dishes. Because nowhere else in the world, will you find the delicious ghee roast, a tasty bowl of gassi, or leaf-wrapped kottige idlis.
